The show doesn't start out very well, but it picks up around mid season

See, I think it STARTS great, and THEN duffs around for a bit before Winter Soldier shakes it up.

Remember not liking this show until about episode 5 or 6. Glad I hung in there. This was better than I remembered. Lola is the best part of the team.

Ward: Someone really wanted our name to spell out S.H.I.E.L.D.

Better when rewatching after three seasons. First time I thought this was going to be the norm, finding a rather uninteresting new super powered person and trying to recruit.

I agree. Rewatching the series after knowing how it ends really makes it more interesting. There are no throw-away episodes, despite what they seem upon first watching. They all link back up by the end.

I agree with it being better on a rewatch. I was just kind of like "meh" the first time I watched this episode. This time I actually enjoyed seeing all the characters before all the stuff happens. Some of the acting is pretty bad though, but luckily it gets at least a little better as it goes on.
